Dark is the night

I’m typing this by the light of a kerosene lantern, with the background hum of a droning generator. And since I’m typing with two thumbs on a smart phone, I’ll make this brief!I had the most amazing pre-Irene post started, but then the power went out before I could get it uploaded, and now we’re going on a full 4 days without power! It was kind of quaint the first twop days, but it’s starting to not be quite so fun anymore! When we’re up and running again, I should have a real post (after all, I’ve had plenty of time to think of what to write!). Until then, since I’m not a “text person”, my thumbs are tired and it’s bedtime!G’nite!

  1. Sure hope you get back your power today. Have they given you an idea of when it can be fixed? I can’t remember but if you use well water then that’s an issue too. Thinking of you and hoping for the best..
