Flashback…

We had a wonderful time at the Denison Farm Market this past Sunday.  We met more wonderful people, and got to see a few familiar faces!

We are looking forward to returning this coming Sunday!  Stay tuned for a sneak peek of the cool new crafts we’ll be bringing along to sell!

One gentleman that we met was talking with Roy about getting back to basics, and they got on the topic of old fashioned barn raisings.  Roy mentioned to him that we indeed had a genuine barn raising here at Morning Star Meadows last summer!

On the day of the barn raising, the floor was already in place, and all of the timbers were cut and ready to go.  At about 8 am the frame was on its way up.  By the end of the day the whole things was roofed!

Here’s a short movie of the frame going up – yep, even I got in on the action at one point!

Great friends, great food, great fun!  If you EVER get the opportunity to go to a barn raising, do it!  It will probably be a once in a lifetime event!
