Early snowfall
Today was the official first snowfall for the 2013-2014 season…the lambs were not pleased to see this cold, new, white stuff that covered up what was left of the grass in their pasture.
But we made it “snow” a little early this past weekend, sweetening up the pastures for next year!
Every fall we put lime on the pastures. We used to do it the hard way, buying bags and bags of pelleted or powdered lime, putting them into a push spreader…which eventually became a pull-behind-the-riding-mower spreader…But we’ve finally learned that we can hire the pros to do it more cheaply and more effectively! Take a gander!
