Hey there! Been looking for us? Yeah, I know…I’ve been slack with keeping our followers up to date with what’s been going on.
It’s finally the “slowing down time” of year, time to sit back and enjoy the fruits of our harvest…
Sheep are sheared
And it’s time to sit and spin!
And knit…
And petting our fuzzy new bunny, Penelope…
Time to enjoy winter squash and use up our potatoes and onions that we’ve carefully stored away.
Time to start enjoying the wonderful pickles, sauces, and jams that we worked so hard to preserve during the summer. Fresh baked bread with homemade apple butter…need I say more?!
And more time to have awesome meals made from our pastured chickens.
Used to be a time when we looked at autumn as a prelude to a dreaded winter…but now we see it as a gift…the “slowing down time” that allows us precious time to count our blessings from the past year and rest our bodies and the earth in anticipation of the spring that will indeed come soon.
