What is so unique and versatile about Icelandic wool?

*  Naturally colored, so no need for dying

*  Dual coated, so can be separated into shorter (Thel) and longer (Tog) fibers for different uses

*  Shorter fibers are softer and more insulating, longer fibers are coarser and more water repellant. The combination is extraordinary!

*  Less lanolin, so cleaner to work with, can be spun in the grease

  1. Hi Darlene! Shirley’s fleece for this fall is spoken for, but I do have a few pounds of her fleece from last year available (I’ve been spinning some of it). How much would you like? You can email us via the “Contact” page! thanks!

    1. I do have both of Drover’s fleeces available – someone else just inquired via email (not sure if it was you) and requested 2 lbs of this, so there might be a bit less depending on who gets to it first! : )
